October 25 & 29, 2008 - USNWC - Charlotte, NC

Demos will start at Noon on Saturday, Oct 25th and run till close. On Wednesday, Oct 29th demos will start at 2:30pm and run till close. Demos last for an hour and a half beginning with a dryland safety talk, instruction and then practice in the lake above the easy Channel. Once the group has mastered the basic riverboarding skills, we will board the easy Channel - taking a couple rapids at a time and working to avoid the eddys. The "M" wave is a big one and if you're not ready will yank the board out from underneath you - LOOK OUT!! Once we've reached the bottom lake we will use the current to kick across the lake to the far side and hike up the hill - to the top lake to start a second ride. Most people get 2 or 3 rides during a demo session. Participants will need to pay USNWC $20 for a bib to get on the whitewater course and need to bring their own PFD, helmet, swimsuit, towel and (most important) their own RipBoard tank, tee or other RipBoard logo clothing. Reservations are encouraged, please call (303.904.8367) to reserve a RipBoard, fins and wetsuit.

Participants will need to bring their own Pfd, helmet, swimsuit, and towel and of course their own RipBoard tank, tee or other RipBoard logo clothing.
